Unlike traditional autoclaves that use high heat and moisture, the Novara system uses low-temperature reactive plasma gas. This makes it a practical option for sterilizing compatible heat-sensitive surgical tools, including high-value electrosurgical handpieces.

How Reactive Plasma Sterilization Works

The Novara system uses a sterilization gas generator to produce highly oxidizing gases. These gases are designed to penetrate cell membranes and destroy the DNA and RNA of microorganisms, including bacteria, molds, and viruses.
