The Novaraâ„¢ Reactive Plasma Sterilizer is an advanced energy platform designed to help veterinary practices reduce waste, protect heat-sensitive instruments, and lower surgical supply costs.
Unlike traditional autoclaves that use high heat and moisture, the Novara system uses low-temperature reactive plasma gas. This makes it a practical option for sterilizing compatible heat-sensitive surgical tools, including high-value electrosurgical handpieces.
Designed to Help Your Practice Save
Surgical energy devices and handpieces can be expensive. When compatible instruments can be safely sterilized and reused according to proper protocols, your practice can reduce replacement costs and improve profitability.
- Large cycle capacity: the included catalyst canister provides 1,500 sterilization cycles
- Low cost per cycle: replacement canisters are $750, which equals approximately $0.50 per cycle
- Reuse compatible high-value tools: designed for compatible electrosurgical handpieces and heat-sensitive instruments that cannot go through a standard steam autoclave
How Reactive Plasma Sterilization Works
The Novara system uses a sterilization gas generator to produce highly oxidizing gases. These gases are designed to penetrate cell membranes and destroy the DNA and RNA of microorganisms, including bacteria, molds, and viruses.
The goal is simple: give your team confidence in every cycle while protecting instruments that may be damaged by heat, steam, or moisture.
